June 2015 - Smyrna Blue are the Little League STATE CHAMPS!

WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!! Will's Smyrna Blue 9 year old team are the Little League STATE CHAMPS. We spent the weekend in Warner Robins, GA playing baseball. The hotel, bus, their fans, their teammates, and the hotel pool are close seconds to winning it all! They had a ball...

The Smyrna teams rolled into Warner Robins with a bus...

Before the boys left Smyrna they collected dirt from their home field and they threw the dirt on the fields where they played in Warner Robins. They brought their home field with them....

Getting fired up.... After the pool play games at the regular Warner Robins Little League fields, the final championship game was at the Southeast Regional Headquarters field. It's a replica of Williamsport and was such a treat to get to play in.

After the boys secured their spot in the championship game...they went to the fields where they

would play the next day for the State Championship to check it out.

June 2015 - A few things other than baseball....

We were able to get away and enjoy a fun weekend with the McCall family at Uma and Pops house. Here is a pic of the clan...it was so fun to spend time with Aunt Jo and Cousin Cheryl.

Katie enjoyed a week at gymnastics camp. Here she is after her final show with her "medal." She LOVED it!

June 2015 - Will - Northwest GA Sectional Champions!!!

Smryna Blue WON the Northwest Georgia Sectional Championship in Cartersville, GA and got a berth into the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP tournament in Warner Robins. GA.

June 2015 - Sam's District Tourney

Sam's District tournament was hosted at our park ... it was so fun to watch the games. Sam had the entire family here for his games. Smyrna Red went 1-1 and looked strong. I was so proud of my Slugger Sam!

June 2015 - Will's District Tourney

Will's All-Star District Tourney was in Marietta. Go BLUE! Smyrna Blue advanced out of the District Tourney - next step is the Sectional Touney in Cartersville, GA!

June 2015 - Happy 10th Birthday Will!

We have been so caught up in baseball these days - there wasn't much of a chance for a big 10th birthday celebration. Although, I'm not sure there is much more than a 10 year old boy would want than to be playing an All-Star game on his birthday with some of his best buds. Our family was in town for the boys games so we were able to celebrate together. Will was so thrilled to get a new bat and bat bag for his birthday. I promised Will that we would have a party later in the summer - turns out he took a few friends to White Water for the day in early August. : )

June 2015 - Ready to Play!

The boys were ready to begin their All-Star Run - Sam for Rookie Smyrna Red and Will for 9U Smyrna Blue. Go Smyrna All-Stars! Daddy was able to head coach Sam's team and help out with Will's team! What a Summer!

May 2015 - ALL STAR BOYS!

I could not be a prouder mom! Both boys were named to Smyrna All-Star teams this year. Sam was named to the 7/8 year old Smyrna Red Team and Will was named to the 9 year old Smyrna Blue Team! This extends our baseball into the summer but we could not be more excited and proud of our little sluggers.
