Easter Beach Fun

The weather was perfect for lots of fun on the beach! Lots of jumping waves, skimboarding, riding waves, playing in the pool, and building giant sandcastles. Here is some of the action...

The boys hard at work on their castle...
Time to dust off the skimboard and get back to it for the summer. : )

Will had a blast riding the waves...

Sam checking out the surf...

Happy Easter!

We enjoyed Easter at the beach. The boys had a little egg hunt at the beach house. Here they are searching for eggs.
Will even had to climb trees to get all the eggs. : ) My little Easter Boys...

Baseball Season in Full Swing

What a fun baseball season we have had! We still have quite a few more games, but thought I'd post a few pictures of my little slugger.

Easter Egg Hunts

Will and Sam each had Easter Egg Hunts and parties at school this week. Here are some pictures of the action...

Very focused on finding eggs...

Here is happy egg hunter, Will. : )

After Will's egg hunt was over, the kids had to make sure that everyone had 12 eggs. There was a lot of trading and bartering going on....more bartering...

Will was very proud of his loot. : )

Princeton Picnic

We had a great day at a picnic that included a Princeton/Yale alumni softball game, a Varsity lunch, a jumpy, wonderful weather, lots of space to run around, and Aunt Beth and Uncle B to hang out with!

Here are the boys after a long day outside... they got to play a little softball with Daddy after the official game was over.

Will exploring... I think he was poking at a giant ant hill.
Check out what Sam found...

Worms Worms Worms

The boys have had a lot of fun digging for worms the past few days. Here are some pictures of them hard at work. Last I heard, they had 14 worms and counting...

Dad's New Invention

I think this is taking redneck to the next level... After the boys spent the weekend at Uma and Pop's... we wanted to have a little family fun Sunday evening before the weekend was over. The boys were ready to get the water out and begin the summertime fun so Daddy came up with an invention. Here's the idea....you take a PVC pipe, drill some holes in it, put duct tape on the end and tape a water hose to the other end (that has a nice valve that you can turn on and off the water). Nothing like a homemade water sprinkler... you should have seen his head smoking after realizing what he could possibly make this summer for the backyard using PVC pipe and a little water pressure. The boys loved it (and so did Daddy). They "fought" the streams of water with their road signs. Here's the mayhem...

Will is taking his game very seriously...

Stay tuned for more inventions...

Wednesday Night Picnic

Now this is a very classy picnic. Two boys on a Wednesday night eating dinner in the back of the truck. It's what they wanted to do for a treat... so here it is. : ) I love times like this! Will decided to show us his new dance moves. I have NO idea where he got them from, but they remind me a bit of his daddy. hee hee!

Sam's Birthday Party

What a party we had! I have never seen a kid so excited with anticipation of a party. Leading up to Sam's party he would wake up each morning and say "10 days til my party." He did this each day and was so excited. He loved planning for it (picking out the napkins, balloon colors, party favors, pinata goodies, and the list goes on). I was worried that all the anticipation would lead to a disappointing party, but he had a great time. It was a rainy day so the Backyard Backyardigan party was moved inside and to the garage. Luckily, it didn't phase Sam at all and he was just as excited. Probably more so because with it indoors, he got to eat cake AND watch the Backyardigans on TV with his friends. : ) I still can't beleive my baby is 4. He had such a great day with all of his friends from school. It was a perfect party! The night before his party, we let him open a few gifts. He had to get dressed in his costume to ensure he was ready for the big day. : ) Here is Pablo! Sam loved the lunchbox that Will picked out for him. Will was so excited to give it to him.
Look... I got all the Backyardigan stuffed toys. yippee!
Here they are! Pablo is upstairs sleeping. : )
Here are my party favors that I helped mom pick out and make...
Right before my party I walked in and saw Uma dressed as Uniqua and Will dressed as Tyrone. I was so happy!
Here are the Backyardigans. : )

Crafts in the garage with Uniqua...

Happy Birthday to Sam!
Blow out the candles...
Eating cake and watching the Backyardigans. It doesn't get any better than that for Sam. : )
