Wow - a weekend of two days above 70 degrees! We needed it and enjoyed every minute of it. Here are some photos of the fun outdoor play.
My sweet boys... yep, Will has another scrape on his face. He ran into the fence on the playground at school on Friday. Poor kid!
The boys thought it was fun to hit the ball off the tee and try to hit me. I had a little fort built to protect myself, but as I was taking a picture of cute, little Sam...I got SMACKED! Here is Sam giving me fair warning..."Hey mom, I'm going to hit this ball and it's going to smack you." I ignore him and just try to get a cute photo...
Ohhhhhh, no! Here is comes. Yep, smacked the lens of my camera. Luckily it was a wiffle ball. : )

You might be a redneck if...
...your son's kindergarten Principal calls your cell phone to tell you that your son has been showing off a spent shotgun shell at school all day. I would like to extend my most sincere gratitude to the great folks in Macon, GA, for this highlight in my life (from an email Rich sent out to the family).
This was last Monday after the boys and I spent a fun weekend in Macon. The boys got lots of Uncle B time and Will ended up with a spent shotgun shell in his pocket as a prized possesion and of course it made it to school the next day. : ) lovely! Anyway, the boys were introduced to a pellet gun this weekend as well. Here are the boys just loving it all...
Thanks to Aunt Beth for being the photographer... : )

Let It Snow - Day 3!
Day 3 and I still can't get enough fun snow pictures! We'll call today "Ice Skating Day"... all of the snow was completely frozen over. The backyard was an ice skating rink for the boys. Be sure to check back tomorrow - it's yet another day off of school so we'll have to see what we get in to.
Careful walking boys...

Let it Snow - Day 2!
Let it Snow!
Wow! We got some snow (and ice). On Monday, we got about 8 inches of snow that was then followed by a layer of sleet and ice. We weren't able to make a snowman, but the boys got to enjoy sledding for the first time and they built a snowfort. Here are some pics of the big, big smiles and good times...

Snowball Will...always ready for a snowball fight.
Sam eating the snow/ice. He loved it. I'm thinking it reminded him of some type of candy. : )
Will's first trip on his homemade sled (thanks, dad)! This was on the little hill in front of our house. He was all smiles!

New Years Beach Time!
After Christmas, we went to St. Simons for 8 days to celebrate the New Year and we had yet another Christmas celebration at Nana's! We got to spend time with Aunty JoJo too - it was so much fun.
The boys spent lots of time over the week in "Man Town" with Daddy and Pops. They explored the island every morning. Trips included breakfasts at Waffle House, McD's, Cracker Barrell, a trip to the top of the lighthouse, a bike ride all the way to the village from the house (both ways), a trip to Buzzard-ville (you'll have to ask them), and many other things that they say they can not tell me because it was "man town." I know they had a ball!
The beginning of the week was chilly. We had to get the boys out of the house so we tried out a new playground on the island.

Merry Christmas!
What a wonderful Christmas we had!!! We got to enjoy time with all of our family. It was the best! The boys were so excited leading up to Christmas Eve and Christmas. They couldn't wait for Santa to come and were so excited to leave the reindeer food and Santa cookies...
Here is the Holland Family with Uma and Pops. Uma, Pops, and Nana joined us for Christmas Eve service at church and dinner at our house!
I thought this pic of Uma and Pops was cute...

Digging into their stockings... they didn't even realize that Santa had left their "big" presents in the other room. They were just excited about seeing their stockings full.
After working on the stockings for about 5 minutes, Will looked in the other room and saw all the things that Santa left. Needless to say, they came back to the stockings later...
Clone Trooper Will!
Happy, happy Sam opening a present from Santa.
